With the flawless implementation of Red Bull’s strategy, the Dutchman won from P10, while Lewis Hamilton came in second ahead of pole-sitter George Russell.

Verstappen overtook Charles Leclerc twice, bringing up new issues with Ferrari’s race strategy.

Leclerc finished sixth and Carlos Sainz fourth, holding off Perez as Ferrari’s season crumbled ahead of the summer break.

Verstappen now has an 80-point edge over Leclerc with nine races left. However, this margin appears insurmountable given Red Bull’s consistency and Ferrari’s unreliability.

Leclerc has only finished on the podium once in the last eight races, and that was when he won the Austrian Grand Prix.

McLarens’ Lando Norris outperformed the Alpines to place seventh, and Fernando Alonso outperformed his teammate Esteban Ocon to place eighth. Sebastian Vettel put up a fight against his teammate for the final point, but Lance Stroll finished P10.

In P12, Pierre Gasly easily defeated Zhou Guanyu, who finished 13th. Mick Schumacher after, while Daniel Ricciardo, who was hit with a five-second penalty for causing a collision, could only finish P15 despite his extraordinary double overtake on the Alpine duo. Kevin Magnussen finished 16th.

Following Williams, Yuki Tsunoda finished last and in 19th place after spinning, ahead of Nicholas Latifi in P17 and Alex Albon in P18.

Five laps before the finish line, Valtteri Bottas’ car stopped, which resulted in the deployment of the Virtual Safety Car.
