A new update has now dropped in Gran Turismo 7, adding quite a lot of changes. Gran Turismo 7’s patch 1.11 was released on Thursday, delivering the first improvements developer Polyphony Digital promised to ease outrage over the game’s harsh reward economy (and its high-priced microtransactions).
Update 1.11 includes many new minor tweaks, fixes, and balance checks to the game’s extensive roster of well-worn circuits and dazzling cars.
According to the official patch notes, the most noteworthy change is that the in-game credit rewards for completing events have been raised. As a result, you may now earn more credits through regular play in numerous important stages of the game, making the grind significantly less unpleasant.
It also includes extra World Circuits events with three additional high-level, high-reward races such as a World Touring Car 600 race at Tokyo Expressway, a WTC700 race at Le Mans, and a WTC800 Sardegna race and tweaking several races in the GT Café campaign’s latter half to award more credits.
The greatest reward is given for finishing Le Mans race in 30 minutes, or roughly 7-8 circuits. You’ll gain 550,000 credits if you win the race. With a clean race bonus, you may earn up to 825,000 points. The Tokyo Express is a 12-lap race with a 600PP and the same prize as the Le Mans race. However, it may be more difficult. Wall collisions come with a five-second penalty. Around the Sardegna Road Track, the World Touring Car 800 pays out somewhat less. 15 laps, 800PP, and up to 485,000 credits are available. Some of the prizes for existing, lengthier World Circuits events have also been increased. For example, first place in the World Touring Car 800 race at Daytona now pays 154,000 credits, up from 70,000 before the update.
When clearing all layouts of circuits with Gold or Bronze results in the Circuit Experience mode, you now get incentives. If players have previously accomplished these results, the prize will be awarded by entering the sector selection page and quitting using the ‘Exit’ button.
In addition, under the banner of ‘The Human Comedy,’ some additional events have been added. For individuals with a Collector’s Level of at least 23, these are one-hour endurance events. These races have a pay-out of up to 1.2 million credits. It’s also worth mentioning that the maximum amount of credits available has increased to 100 million, making saving simpler.
Finally, the new GT7 upgrade enhances the physics of the car. You’ll notice improved physics when landing from a jump, particularly in off-road places. Also, there is a fix for AI opponents being improperly slowed after switching to rain tyres during a wet weather event.
All these upgrades will undoubtedly generate a lot of discussions. The game is sure to become less grindy and more exciting, which is exactly what it should have been all along.
Update 1.12, is available for PS4 and PS5 and the download size for the latter is 917 MB.
