Gran Turismo 7 Intro Walkthrough Game Guide Menu Book

Gran Turismo 7 Intro

The game starts with an intro from Sarah. Gran Turismo 7 has taken some steps to introduce some personalities into the game. Some are real GT Academy races, and often they provide useful hints and suggestions about the game. Sarah serves as your guide through the first series of menus. She will ask if you’ve ever played Gran Turismo before, and if you haven’t she will give you a more detailed introduction. We selected yes, and she ran us through some new additions to the game.

Sarah will take you to the Used Cars dealer, where you will meet Andi. Andi is the owner of the dealership, and will introduce you to the dealership, and the concept of ‘PP’. ‘PP’ stands for Performance Points, and indicates how fast a car really is. Pay attention to this, as later, you will be given races where cars need to be under a certain PP threshold, but we’ll cover that later.

Andi advises you start with a Japanese compact car, and suggests the Honda Fit, the Toyota Aqua, and the Mazda Demio. The Toyota has the highest PP, at 349, but the Mazda is cheapest. You have 20,000 credits to start the game with, and will need to spend between 12,500 and 13,000 here.

As you will quickly be moving on to some more exciting cars, we recommend not taking too long over this decision. Go for the Toyota if you are nervous about your driving ability, but any of the three should easily see you through. We split the difference, and went for the Honda Fit, with it’s middle performance and middle price tag.

Here you will also pick up some collector points, which will give you rewards as your car collection grows.

After some more words from Sarah, head to the Garage to have a look at your new wheels. In the Garage, you can change vehicle, and adjust setups, but for now you’ll mainly be coming here to collect rewards.

Select ‘Gifts’ to view your roulette ticket, and a 1,000,000 compensation ticket if you owned the game before the server outages. We are ignoring ours, as we want to go through this tutorial without any extra credits.

Once you’ve had a look in the Garage, you should now unlock the Cafe. The Cafe is where you will spend most of your time working from for now, as this is where the single-player campaign is centered around.

In the Cafe, you will meet Luca, who will give you ‘Menus’ with tasks to complete. These Menus will mainly ask you to complete races, but you will earn lots and lots of cars through this mechanic. It will guide you through the world of Gran Turismo.
