Gran Turismo 7 Intro Walkthrough Game Guide Menu Book 1

Menu Book 1

The first menu book is for Japanese compact cars, and to complete you are required to collect the three cars you had to choose from earlier. The Toyota Aqua S, the Honda Fit Hybrid, and the Mazda Demio XD Touring. You should already have one of the cars. To collect the other two, you can either buy them from the dealer, or you need to complete some races. Luca will provide an orange compass in menus to help you find the right events, and this the main format for playing the game you should expect for the next while.

Once back at the map, you will have unlocked World Circuits. Here you will find most of the events you can race in, and the orange compass icon over it indicates you have a Cafe Menu task to complete there. You can enter any race, and it does not matter what order you complete these in, however the easiest way to acquire vehicles to use in these races is to follow the Cafe Menus.

The first race we’re going to complete is in the Asia-Oceania section, in Japan. Select the Broad Bean Raceway, and Sunday Cup.

Here you will see the rewards, and the entry requirements for entry. The only requirement is that you use a road car, so naturally select your Japanese compact car and lets go. You only need to finish in the top three to unlock the car and progress, but with the car you selected you should easily finish first, and claim your Toyota as a reward.

During this race, drafting and smooth cornering will get you to 1st. The Mazda Atenza is a bit ahead of the other cars, so if you don’t win the race don’t feel bad. You can always come back later with another car and you’ll breeze through.

We went relatively aggressive into turn 1, and then drafted our way through the field. The right kink before the long final corner can all be taken flat, and are critical to victory here.

You will win 5,000 credits here, plus an extra 50% if you manage to finish with the clean race bonus.

Next we’re going to the Americas, and doing the Sunday Cup at the Northern Isle Speedway. This race is very easy, just stay smooth with your steering inputs and you barely need to brake. Try not to let your car slam into the wall on the exit of corners, as you will lose a lot of speed this way. Keep corner markers on if that makes it easier, aim to be right on the lowest part of the banking as you hit the apex of the corner. Try to avoid coming on to the flat part on the inside, and you will easily win the Mazda Demio. If you like, change to this car in the garage and use it to take 1st place at the Broad Bean race we looked at previously.

Once you’ve finished, head back to the cafe to catch up with Luca and claim your first Menu Book reward!
